There are very few among us who are in the enviable position of living out their childhood dream. For Dr. Rick Van Gurp, this is exactly what he is doing. Since the age of 12, he has known what he wanted to be. In following this dream, his skill and genuine concern for his patients have earned him professional recognition and continued praise from clients.
Family life provides the greatest reward for Dr. Van Gurp. Happily married to Amy, his wife of 17 years, the Van Gurps’ are the proud parents of three wonderful children. Sharing a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Van Gurp and Amy actively support each other in the triathlons and half-marathons that they enter. On occasion, the road races become more exciting when the entire family runs together.
Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Van Gurp has served as a consultant to national and international dental companies regarding new product development. He has also lectured to other dentists regarding the newest advances in dental technology and been interviewed on television regarding leading edge technology he uses in his office. He continues to author articles in dental professional journals and local magazines.
