Is Dr. Van Gurp accepting new patients?

We are always accepting new patients to our Charlotte dentist office and would be honored to treat your dental needs.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes. Each person has a different dental plan and situation. We will work on your behalf to maximize your benefits and not compromise your dental treatment. We do not want concerns about financing to dictate your treatment plan. In addition to acceptance of dental insurance, we offer financing options for qualifying patients.

Does Dr. Van Gurp treat children?

Dr. Van Gurp sees children as young as 6. We strive to make the child’s visit educational and enjoyable. We introduce children to the office, explain the procedure on their level, show them what we will be using, and in some cases let them feel certain items. Once they’re comfortable, we begin treatment, constantly monitoring and evaluating how they are doing.

Does Dr. Van Gurp perform orthodontic (braces) treatment?

Depending on the type of treatment needed, Dr. Van Gurp may recommend clear aligner therapy with Invisalign® or refer you to a local orthodontist for traditional braces.

How often should I visit the dentist?

The American Dental Association recommends a healthy adult have a check-up consisting of a cleaning and exam with x-rays as needed every 6 months. No two individuals are alike and based on the patient’s medical history, dental history, and future needs, we can customize a treatment plan that is just right for you.

Do you place implants?

Dr. Van Gurp does not “place implants” in our office, though we do work with an oral surgeon who is located in our office building for this procedure. Dr. Van Gurp will personally restore the implant in his Charlotte dental office.

Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?

Yes, Dr. Van Gurp is one of the most highly trained cosmetic dentists in Charlotte, NC. We treat each patient individually and develop a treatment plan that best fits your needs. We have several options to offer and we spend time with you one-on-one discussing your personal situation.
